June Muses: A Return to Quiet Beauty with Sarah & Tahlia
This June, we welcome back Sarah and Tahlia, two women whose presence lingers like a well-loved novel. Their shared love of old-world beauty, slow living, and gentle storytelling makes them true embodiments of the Meadowsweet spirit.
Photographed by Tahlia herself—whose lens captures light the way memory holds feeling—this series drifts between still cottage interiors and wildflower-dappled fields. Candles flicker. Mirrors reflect quiet daydreams. And in the thick of it all is Nigel the goat, our unexpected scene-stealer, nosing curiously into baskets and nibbling on bouquets with perfect pastoral charm.
Tahlia, both muse and photographer, has a gift for creating atmosphere that feels timeless. She and Sarah move through each frame like echoes of another era—barefoot, unhurried, and full of quiet laughter. Sarah’s radiant softness is the kind that gently anchors every image, grounding the dream in something deeply real.
Worn throughout is the Petite Fleur Dress—a slow fashion favourite, crafted in soft white cotton scattered with delicate florals. With gathered sleeves tied in bows and a breezy, vintage silhouette, it’s the kind of piece that lives well in candlelight and sunlight alike. Whether worn while feeding Nigel or writing letters by the window, it feels like home.
This is not the first time Sarah and Tahlia have graced us as muses, and we suspect it won’t be the last. There’s something in the way they live the story—not perform it. Their charm isn’t curated, it’s instinctual. A reminder that beauty often blooms in the in-between moments: a smile half-formed, a goat leaning in, a dress caught in a breeze.
To Sarah, Tahlia, and dear Nigel—thank you for reminding us that slow can be sweet, and ordinary days can be full of poetry.
