Monthly Muse: Nicole from Little Homebodies
Monthly Muse for May : Nicole from Southern Tasmania
In a quiet corner of southern Tasmania, Nicole lives a life that reflects everything we hold dear at Meadowsweet Farmhouse: gentle rhythms, meaningful motherhood, and a heart turned toward the slow and the sacred.
Nicole is a wife, a mother, and a storyteller in many forms. She shares her days through photography at @hellovalentine.au and thoughtful words at @little.homebodies.
“Today was a dream day for me,” she writes, “coffee at the beach with my girls, then we all came home to the mountain rain on the tin roof and had cosy midday sleeps.”
Before stepping into this slower, family-focused season, Nicole studied psychology and was close to completing her PhD. But when life called her toward home—toward mothering, homemaking, and faithfully tending to what matters most—she followed with a full heart.
She and her family moved from the Gold Coast to Tasmania a year ago, seeking a gentler pace and kindred community. They’ve recently settled into their first home on a couple of acres—a fixer-upper filled with charm, promise, and the scent of mountain air.
Nicole also offers photography sessions through Hello Valentine and does copywriting on the side—creative work that allows her to remain present at home, capturing stories and seasons in both words and light.
This month’s photos of Nicole were taken by the ever-talented Marilla from @homeofedith whose romantic, golden-toned imagery brings Nicole’s world to life with magic and tenderness.
One of our favourite moments from her recent shoot? Nicole wearing her Bramble Posy dress while cuddling one of her ducks, surrounded by the quiet company of her dog. There’s something magical about seeing our pieces worn not just for special days, but for real life—muddy boots, nuzzled animals, and all.
We are so grateful to share Nicole’s story. Her life is a gentle reminder that there is beauty in simplicity, and strength in choosing the path that feels right for your soul.
Thank you, Nicole, for being part of the farmhouse.
